Our Belief
Women Organizing Women, Inc is a non-denominational Christian organization focused on marketplace ministry. Women Organizing Women, Inc. aims to serve the community with the love of Jesus Christ, welcoming all women regardless of denominational background.
Women Organizing Women Inc. believes God the Father is the First person of the Trinity. We believe in one God who eternally exist in three Persons: FATHER, SON, and HOLY SPIRIT. Equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds all and governs all. (I John 5:7)
God the Father (First Person of the Trinity)
God the Father is omnipotent (all-powerful), omniscient (all-knowing), and omnipresent (everywhere). He is absolute holiness. No darkness exists within Him. God is just, loving, and merciful. He gave us the gift of free will, by not forcing anyone to follow him. God cares. He intervenes in the lives of people. He answers prayer and reveals himself through his Word, circumstances, and people. God is sovereign. He is in complete control, no matter what is happening in the world. His ultimate plan always overrules humankind. Psalms 24:8, Isa 46:9-10, Jer 23:23-24, Deut 32:4, Psalms 34:8, Romans 9:15-16, Psalms 145:8, 1John 4-8
Jesus Christ is God! (Second Person of the Trinity)
Jesus Christ is the exact living image [the essential manifestation] of the unseen God [the visible representation of the invisible], the firstborn [the preeminent one, the sovereign, and the originator] of all creation. For by Jesus Christ all things were created in heaven and on earth, [things] visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him [that is, by His activity] and for Him. And He Himself existed and is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. [His is the controlling, cohesive force of the universe.] Col 1:15-17
Holy Spirit (Third Person of the Trinity)
The Holy Spirit is a person. He has intentions, shows willfulness and discretion, loves, communicates, testifies, teaches, and prays. He comforts us, helps us, guides us, reminds us, teaches us, comes along side us, counsels us, and intercedes and advocates for us. There is no area of life in which the believer does not need the help of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit convicts the world about sin, righteousness, and judgment. John 16:8, Gen 1:2, Rev 22: 17, John 14:16-17, Neh 9:20; Jn 15:26; Ac 13:2; Rm 8:26,27; 15:30; 1Co 12:11.
Salvation
The Lord does not delay [as though He were unable to act] and is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is [extraordinarily] patient toward us, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. 2Peter 3:9
Salvation is being saved or rescued from the penalty of sin. We are all sinners, and the consequence of sin is death not just physical death, but eternal separation from God. To be saved from your sin, you must do three things: Ask forgiveness for your sins; be willing to turn from your sins; and believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior over all, and that He died for our sins and rose again. Romans 10:9
Prayer of Salvation:
Dear Lord, I admit that I am a sinner. I have done many things that don’t please you. I have lived my life for myself only. I am sorry, and I repent. I ask you to forgive me. I believe that you died on the cross for me, to save me. You did what I could not do for myself. I come to you now and ask you to take control of my life; I give it to you. From this day forward, help me to live every day for you and in a way that pleases you. I love you, Lord, and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you. Amen.
Communion
Women Organizing Women believes in taking communion. Jesus told us why we celebrate communion when He instated it. He said, “Do this… in remembrance of me” (1 Corinthian 11:25). When we take
communion, we are remembering Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. The bread and wine are tangible, visible reminders of Christ’s love. Rather than simply saying “remember,” Jesus gave us a reminder. Just as we depend on food and drink to live physically, we can only live spiritually through Christ. Communion is a time of just that: communing. It is a chance to bring ourselves before the Lord and partake in the life He has given us through His death and resurrection. 1John1:6-9, 1 Cor11:17-24
Healing
Women Organizing Women, Inc. believes in the promise of Healing. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all our iniquities, Who heals all our diseases, Who redeems our life from destruction, Who crowns us with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies our mouth with good things, so that our youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The LORD executes righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed. (Psalms 103:2-6)
